BIOGRAPHY

Cristobal Catalan is a multi-disciplinary visual artist, researcher and artistic director interested in performance art, transculturalism, technology, identity and mental health.
He has directed theatre, shorts and promotional videos for significant dance companies including The Royal Ballet, Bolshoi and English National Ballet, as well as collaborating with commercial and contemporary dance crews including Flawless of Britain’s Got Talent fame.
Other film works for which he has received recognition and acclaim for are ‘Res Nullius’, ‘Daria Klimentova’ and ‘Butoh’.
His films have been screened on Sky Arts, MTV and the BBC. Cristobal has also chaired university programmes in visual arts and has curated works exhibited in venues including the Museum of Modern Art.
